Emelie couldn't sleep. Her body wouldn't let her, it was too used her old schedule back in the states of sleeping at night. It was to hard to change it so dramatically but here was she was doing it. She had just started at Cross Academy. The newest student. So her body was adjusting the change of that and blood tablets. She had never taken them before and they were so different then drinking the blood her dad bought from the local hospital. They were less satisfying without the rich taste of blood but she had to admit they did the trick. She just wished they weren't so bland. She sighed as she headed out into the hall with a glass of water and one of her favorite manga.
She had slipped her container of blood tablets in the pocket of her hooded sweatshirt.
Maybe if I read for awhile, I will get tired enough to sleep. She thought as she walked down the hall towards the stairs. It was very quiet, she assumed everyone was asleep.
She walked down the ornate staircase and to one of the comfy couches. She sat down on it set her glass on the floor and dug into her pocket for the tablets. She took one out and plopped it into her water waiting for it to dissolve. She stretched out on the couch and made herself comfortable. She reached down for her glass and took a drink. Bland and boring as always. She sighed as she set the glass down and began to read her manga.

Ben stretched himself as he walked back from class...Algebra class was a boreing and useless as ever and even though they had played a prank on the sience teacher..both he and his fellow prankster was cought and punished. Which wasn't so bad considering the sicence teacher was quite the toothsome woman but she had an iron will and a fist to match it in a ten fold.
He cracked his neck as he looked up at the moon...it was full tnoight..and that useualy ment an omen..not that ben was to superstious but still he should probably just head to bed and ignore any trouble he could get into.
Ben opened the doors of the mansion and walked into the lounge...it was dark..as useual. But then again that was to be expected. Well there was no one in the lunge so it was ok to hang around for a while.
Ben sat down on the cough and ran his left hand through his spikey blonde hair. "Math i can understand...but algebra?" Ben said as he snapped and formed a small flame flickering above his fingers. "Algebra is pretty useless." He said talking to himself.

Emelie looked up from her manga when she heard someone come into the lounge talking to him self. She was surprised to see a very hot, good looking guy sitting on the couch next to her. She loved his blond feathery hair and his dark green eyes. He must be a pure blood to be that gorgeous. Plus he has vampire powers too. But she wasn't to sure because of the scent of his blood gave off a different feel. It was the scent of a half blood.
He couldn't be half a blood could he?
Emelie smiled as she listened to him babble on to him self and play with his fire power, she found it amusing. He seemed to not notice she was there. She reached down and took another drink of her blood tablet drink.
"So do you enjoy having conversations with your self?"

Ben let off no sign of being frightened he just sat there quiet for a moment. The only change was the fire that flickered above his fingers suddenly poofed out of exsistance. Ben took a deep breath and sighed. "Do you enjoy scareing pepole like that?" He said with a chuckle as he looked up at the quite gourgous woman...man was she hot..her eyes and face were most enchanting but he had to stop his eyes from staring at other places too. "And i dont talk to myself too much..just when im bored or thinking up a prank." Ben said with a mischevoius grin on his face.

Emelie saw his eyes travel all over her body when he looked up at her and she could tell he liked what he saw but it made her feel quite unselfconscious. She could feel a blush come to her cheeks. She set her manga on her lap and shifted her body to face him.
"Is that so, well you better be careful because If you keep talking to yourself like that people are going to think you are crazy." she said with a wink and laugh. She knew she was shamelessly flirting with him, but she didn't care he was pretty hot and she was interested.
"So tell me about these pranks you have done. I sure hope they haven't been on in any of the girls in the dorm." She said with a flirty smile as she played with her hair nonchalantly.

Ben put on a hurt voice and crossed his legs and arms and huffed. "Uh uh that's an insult." He said in a rather mock-pompous voice. "Im insane not crazy thank you very much." Ben said with his foxy grin. "The most recent prank i played was with the science teacher..she had a couple cemical compounds on the desk and while she turned away i slipped some counter compounds in the mix..well lets just say the result was the teacher getting doused in sticky cemcials and half the class as well. Sure i got cought." Ben said as he folded his hands behind his head "But it was sooo worth the look on her face. And i havn't done any pranks to the girls in the dorms sence..hmhmhm." Ben chuckled at the rememberance of the prank that he had miraculosly got away with schotch cleen.

Emelie laughed out loud at his crazy comment but then quickly remembered that most of the students were already asleep and covered her mouth to suppress her laughter as she listened to his prank story.
Emelie cringed slightly at the thought of how much of a mess he made but it was still funny. "I just hope you don't try anything like that when I am around. I don't want to get covered any sticky stuff. Thank you very much." She said with a smile as she grabbed her glass and took another drink. "Ugh, this stuff is bland. Give me the blood my dad got from the hospital any day." She said with a grimace.

Ben felt warm at her laugh...she had a beautiful laugh that made him want to hear it again and again. "Oh dont worry i only do pranks like that on tuesdays and when im feeling really ornery." Ben saw her take a sip from the glass of substitute blood..nast stuff. But then again ben didn't like blood piriod..quite unlike most vampiers.
"That stuff you get from the hospital is about as stale as a cracker because it's been left in a cooler or something like that." Ben reached into his coat and pulled out a lab vial. I drew this about an hour..its my own blood i alwayas keep a few fresh samples for emergences." Ben set the vial down on the tble in front of her. "That outta taste better than that tablet crud." Ben said sitting back down on the couch.

Emelie immediately sombered when Ben set the vial in front of her.
She stared at it intently. It had been a long time since she had real blood. Her mouth watered just imaging the taste but she knew she shouldn't take it. It was against Cross rules to have any type of blood to drink, she was bummed to find out that she couldn't bring her Dad's purchased blood with her. Not so much because of her drinking it but because it would bother the other student especially the purebloods. They would smell it and it would drive them wild.
Even now with this small vial. Thats why Headmaster Cross issued everyone the tablets. Yet it looked so tempting, so delicious. She wanted it. She looked up at him as too ask if it was okay for her to have it.

Ben knew quite well what she was thinking...it was firmly against the rules of drinking fresh blood...and was severly frowned apon. But thats why ben carried around a few vials of it..because it was a risk...and ben loved risk's. "Dont worry about the scent i put a chemical that you wont be able to taste but it make's the blood scentless." Ben shurgged his shoulders and snapped his fingers again to re-create the flame above his fingertips. "Its your choice madam."

"Okay." Emelie felt much better knowing the pure bloods couldn't smell it. She picked the vial up and held it in her hand. Just by looking at it she could imagine the sweet taste in her mouth. She wanted it.
She opened the top and smelled it. He was right, you couldn't smell it.
She look at one more time as she brought the vial to her lips and took a tiny sip. Oh my gosh! His blood is so sweet and delicious, its like heaven. As the rich red liquid hit her lounge she was overwhelmed with wanting more. It was almost intoxicating her with it's taste. She was fulfilling what her vampire side had desired since she had been here. Real blood. With that her vampire side took over.
She took another sip and another. With barely realizing she had drunk the whole vial. When it was empty she was snapped back into reality.
She realized he had been watching her the whole time and she blushed fiercely embarrassed a little by her actions.
"Um.. thank you."

Ben smiled as she zoned out..thats what happened when vampires drank to much immitation blood...those blood tablets would be tolorable if they at least had a bit of flavor to them. Not that old stale run-of-the-mill taste. "No problem..just dont get to relied on my blood." Ben said with a chuckle. "I could get expelled just by carrying this around." Ben shook his head. "Dont be embarrased its ok if you want later i can give you another vial. And besides..." Ben said as he shrugged his shoulders "if your having trouble sleeping that ought to help."

"Don't worry, I won't get addicted."she answered with a nervous giggle. The truth was that Ben's blood was the sweetest, most delicous blood she had drank before. Half was always the best she had been told because the sweet blood of humans balances out the strongness of the vampire. And when she used to feed off her little brother when they were locked in the closest she did find it much tastier then the plain human. But Ben's blood had something more to it that made her crave more. She didn't know what all she knew her vampire side craved more and not those nasty blood tablets.
"Though I think I may take you up on that offer. I have to admit you have tasty blood." she said with a smile as she licked her lips playfully.

Ben found his heart skip a beat a moment when she licked her lips..and here he thought she was a quiet and reclusive girl. "Well." Ben said crossing his legs and winking "Theres more where that came from." Ben looked at her manga and chuckled "Inuyasha? Either your re-reading or your behind fifty chapters."

Emelie laughed. "Oh I am rereading, I haven't been able to make it to town since I have been here, ya know since its 'not allowed' so I am just reading what I have. You a fan? From what I understand there aren't may of us here. I know the VP is though. I would love too see his collection. I bet being a noble he probably has a ton of manga." She smiled at him.
