Personality; Aidou plays the role of a care-free idiot very well, but in reality he is a very intuitive individual with an ingenious mind. He was the first or at least the boldest to realize and point out that the story of Kaname's past held suspicious holes in it. He's not a very big human or lower level vampire lover, and he'll break the rules if he feels the desire to do so and thinks he won't get caught. But he is fiercely loyal and when he chooses a side he sticks with it to the end. He is highly attractive, very witty, and enjoys keeping a fan club of day class females --though it's obvious he doesn't really care much for them. He is a very complex individual who jumps from a vague type of humanity to a beastly ferocity quite easily.

History; He grew up as most spoiled, noble vampires do inside of a big mansion with servants and all the attention he pleased. He played with Kain and Souen Ruka as a youngster, but he treated Kaname Kuran very rudely and cruelly when he first met him because he liked him so much upon meeting him. It wasn't until later after being explained the differences between him and the pureblood vampires and after seeing Kaname's huge change from the true unknown events of his parents' deaths that he began to show his liking for Kaname and befriend him. Hanabusa has a deep respect for those more powerful than he is, and he grew a fierce loyalty towards Kaname and has vowed to protect him and support him, though his intrusions into Kaname's past and affairs sometimes gets him into a lot of trouble. Hanabusa's been at the Cross Academy for four years, and he is surprisingly one of the brightest students in the Night Class.

Hanabusa walked slowly down the steps of the Moon Dormitory as he vainly attempted to bring his temper under control. With inhuman speed he slammed his fist sideways into the wall creating a sizeable hole in the structure, but Hanabusa either didn't notice or could have cared less. "d**n him!" He let the words spill from his lips in a slow, deathly whisper as he recalled his last encounter with Zero. Earlier that day while the Night and Day students were changing classes, Zero had openly disrespected Kaname Kuran, and that disgusting human had even gotten up the audacity to touch the Moon Dorm President! Hanabusa was still fuming over the indignation of the whole thing and marveled at the fact that Dorm leader hadn't killed him. Then again, he had been too busy looking at Yuki Cross. "Why?!" Hanabusa thought out loud again for the umpteenth time. "Why does he treat that-that human with such care?? Who is she to him?" He asked himself again like he'd done so many times before. "I'm going to find out. And I'm going to make Ichiru pay for his insolance! Now..." His eyes growing as dark as the world he was born into, Hanabusa made his way swiftly down the rest of the steps before opening the doorway to the outside.
